SHARE SUMMARY "D TO H"

Thought I'd speed things up a little - we have 23 shares in total, so quite a few to write about.

There is a saying that applies to the stock market - SELL IN MAY AND GO AWAY - sometimes this proves to be very wise advice.

DIAGEO: Diageo is a global alcoholic beverages group with a wide product range spanning whisky, vodka, beer, gin and liqueurs. With operations in 180 countries it owns many well-known global brands such as Johnnie Walker, Guinness Smirnoff, Baileys and Captain Morgan. It is cash rich company that pays a dividend of over 2%

DECHRA: Dechra Pharmaceuticals PLC is engaged in veterinary pharmaceuticals and related products business. The company is engaged in development, manufacture and marketing of products for veterinarians.

FEVERTREE: Producer of high quality mixers. Sources high quality ingredients. (our favourite)

GENUS: Is a world leading animal genetics company. They develop better pigs and cows for farmers by selecting animals with desirable characteristics that help them to produce higher quality meat and milk more sustainably. Aim listed.

HALMA: Halma plc is a group of technology companies that makes products for hazard detection and life protection. It is a market leader in specialist safety, health and environmental technologies all involved in enhancing public safety. It develops and supplies visual warning systems, toxic gas and smoke detectors, electronic alarm systems and water leakage detectors. HQ: Amersham, Bucks. Revenue (2018) £1.076 billion

HOMESERVE: Homeserve provides home emergency insurance cover and repairs.The co pang was established as a joint venture by south Staffordshire water and Richard Harpin in 1993 It later de merged from south Staffordshire water becoming a publicly listed company on the London stock exchange. HOMESERVE revenue at its checkatrade business has risen more than 30% pre tax profit for the year to March 2019 will be at the upper end of market expectations

HOTEL CHOCOLAT: A premium chocolatier making luxury chocolates and chocolate gifts. A small chain growing their own chocolate on a plantation in St Lucia. Andrew Thirlwell, CEO and co-founder with Peter Harris.
