OCTOBER MINUTES

Just sit in the back and relax!

China Dolls are keeping up with the times. One of our new investments is a company called

AB Dynamics

This is a small company based in Bradford on Avon. It was recommended by the Share Centre as one of its ‘exclusive tips’ 3 years ago when the price was 210p, it is now 2,050p!!

However it is still rated as a BUY.

They make testing systems Advanced Driver Assisted Systems i.e. driverless cars.

and is used by BMW, Audi, Honda, Ford and Tesla

This is a niche product and although car production worldwide is falling, the move to automated driving is only going to increase.

We have only invested £1300 and will watch this share closely before investing more.

VESTAS WIND SYSTEMS - We are definitely in future thinking mode at the moment and invested £1300 into this company!

This is a Danish company. It manufactures, sells and maintains wind farms, employing over 25,000 people globally. After Boris's enthusiasm for wind farms we thought it might be a good investment. Again, we will follow this share for a few months before deciding whether to purchase more.

CURRENT INVESTMENTS:

Clinigen: We are slightly disapponted in the performance of this share. We bought at 715p and although it was sitting at 710p at the beginning of October it has dropped to 570p. However it is new to our portfolio and future prospects are extremely good. It is still featured as a VERY strong buy on the Share Centre website.

Dechra: We are delighted that this share has broken through, its very stubborn, 3000p barrier and shot up during September/October. It is currently sitting at 3566p and continues to rise.

Reach: This company has made a very strong recovery in digital advertising: almost doubling its share price during September/October. Brokers have hinted that it could reach (:-) 300p in future months. Share sitting at 104p at the moment.

Ocado: This share price was hit in October with news that Ocado is being sued by a small Norwegian company. Ocado is counter suing and the share price rallied. We are happy to hold and are still looking at a profit of over 100% since our purchase at the beginning of the Covid pandemic in March.

DISCUSSION:

We discussed selling Trainline: a share we bought soon after it floated. Covid has wreaked havoc with the performance of this company. But they have taken on a new CEO, Jody ford, who joined the company in September 2020. He was previously CEO of Photobox (including Moonpig) He takes over as CEO in the new year, so we decided to wait to see if he can work his magic with Trainline.

We also discussed taking some profit from our better performing shares - Croda - Genus But again decided to hold fire. Why sell when these companies continue to perform well.

That's it for this month. Stay safe everyone.
